Kindergarten Program
Ages 5 to 6 years
Monday through Friday — 8:45 a.m. to 2:45 p.m.
The children enrolled in our Kindergarten Program spend their mornings in the Early Childhood classroom. After lunch and specialist activities, they combine into four classrooms and are team taught by two or more Montessori teachers. During the afternoon hours, the Kindergarteners enjoy a rich and varied
curriculum to help prepare them for the transition to first grade.
Music and
Spanish are offered to the Kindergarteners twice a week, and Creative Movement is offered once a week.
MCHL Kindergarten Supply List for the School Year
Please send in the following items with your Kindergarten child on the first day of school:
- 2 pkgs. Crayola colored pencils (24 pack erasable)
- 2 large erasers
- 2 tracing paper tablets
- 1 box Crayola crayons (16 pack erasable)
- 2 Crayola water color sets
- 12 glue sticks
- 1 Pkg. of Crayola markers (12 pack erasable)
These items will be put into a general supply for all to share. MCHL will restock items throughout the year as needed. Therefore, it is unnecessary to label items.
All Kindergartners must have a standard size backpack to transport their papers to and from school. Families may purchase the MCHL blue backpack from the office for $15.00.
