Summer Camp Program
The MCHL Summer Camp begins...
June 16, 2008
Summer Camp will begin on Monday, June 16, 2008 and run through Friday, August 15th. Check out our fun camp themes and sign up for one or more weeks throughout the summer.
These nine summer weeks will be structured very much like the rest of the school year - only on a smaller scale. Many of the Montessori teachers will share the teaching responsibilities over the course of the summer. The classrooms will be fully equipped with Montessori materials and will also reflect the themes we have chosen for the summer.
By popular demand, we are again offering a Spanish camp. Lia Revollo will return as the lead teacher. There will be a morning session, 8:45-11:45 and an afternoon session, 12:30-3:30. The camp themes and activities will be the same as the other Montessori classes - only the teachers will speak in Spanish as much as possible. You may sign your child up for either session, but a three week commitment is recommended.
In addition, MCHL is again offering a class called Introduction to Montessori. This program is designed for our new younger students. Class size is small to insure lots of one on one attention. This intro class has proven to be very successful in past years. New students who participated were well prepared and happily ready for the beginning of school. We strongly urge new families with a 10 installment plan to send their children for the intro class in August. Families interested in this camp need to commit to both weeks. New students who are 4 or 5 are also encouraged to come to summer camp. These children will join the older students in the mixed age classrooms.
Our extended day hours will remain from 7:30 - 6:00 and school only hours will be from 8:45 - 11:45, five days per week. We hope to see all of our children during this summer. Register as soon as possible. Last summer our classes filled quickly!
